Work. It gives life structure and meaning and fosters dignity and self-esteem. At AWS, we understand the importance of work and offer a variety of services designed to help people with disabilities develop confidence, new skills and new experiences through work.

Employment Services and Follow Along

From job seeking to job training to continued support, AWS helps individuals find community employment that puts money in their pockets and enriches their lives. We start by helping individuals identify their goals, then help them through the search and interview process, provide training if necessary, and continue to support them throughout their employment.

Industrial Operations

While community inclusion is at the heart of our mission, we understand that not everyone can begin with community employment. Our Industrial Operations program gives individuals an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, vocational training and job skills development in a production environment.

More than 30 northeastern Indiana businesses subcontract work to AWS' ISO 9001:2008 certified industrial facility — demonstrating the economic impact and human impact of employing people with disabilities.

Post Masters

Post Masters, an ISO 9001:2008 certified facility, offers full-service mail and fulfillment, First Class presort and Third Class mail processing. With locations in Fort Wayne and Indianapolis, Indiana, Post Masters employs people with disabilities, giving them the opportunity to develop job skills while earning a paycheck. Post Masters also provides services at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, through NISH, a national agency charged with developing employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

Blue Octopus Printing Company

Blue Octopus Printing Company is a full-service commercial printing company offering high quality printing that's fast and convenient. Customers have access to a full spectrum of services, including, 4-color printing, bindery, large format printing, banners, prepress and mailing services. Located in Indianapolis, Blue Octopus provides employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

Highway Safety Specialists

Highway Safety Specialists (HSS) manufactures and distributes a full line of highway safety products. Housed in the same facility as AWS' Industrial Operations program, individuals with disabilities help assemble products such as guardrail reflectors and construction cones and barrels.
