Private Pay Options: A Place for You
At AWS, we realize not all who wish to make use of our services qualify for funding, or the funding may come slowly for those who do. A Place for You addresses such issues by making social, educational, vocational and residential programs available on a private pay basis.
Recent state and federal cutbacks have made it increasingly difficult for individuals with disabilities to qualify for funding for essential services, and those that do qualify are placed on a multi-year waiting list. A Place for You gives families the option to choose services for their loved one when they want or need them through private pay options.
From mission to action
Our mission is to help children and adults with disabilities live as independently as possible, be included in the community and function at their maximum potential. To fulfill our mission, we believe it is important to give people as many options as possible. A Place for You offers an additional path for individuals and families to access services.
While A Place for You may not match each family's situation, it is a viable option for those who cannot wait for services. You can read more about A Place for You by downloading the brochure: A Place for You (1.6 mb PDF).
The Social Club
The Social Club is among the most popular programs of "A Place for You". Each month, the "Club" brings together individuals who want to have fun and explore their community together. Additionally, an events calendar helps Club Members take advantage of local attractions and happenings.
