Early Intervention: Helping the Youngest Among Us

The time in a person's life when the biggest developmental impact can be made is under the age of three when our brains are supercharged to learn and grow. That's why AWS is involved in all aspects of care for the youngest among us — from overseeing regional programs to providing hands-on services through federal and state early-intervention programs for children from birth to three years of age.

INFANT & TODDLER SERVICES

This program assures families with infant and toddlers experiencing developmental delays or disabilities have access to early intervention services in the child's natural environment. Additionally, AWS provides guidance, education, evaluation and developmental direction to families and their young children, along with an array of specialized therapeutic support.

System Point of Entry Programs

As the administrator of state contracts in multiple regions, AWS coordinates care for families as they enter and navigate through the early intervention system, generally called the System Point of Entry (SPOE).
