Therapeutic Riding
Red Cedar has been recognized nationally as a leader in providing therapeutic equine training and services. Riding is particularly beneficial for people who have impaired mobility. The movement of a walking horse's back replicates the normal movements made by a person when walking. It helps strengthen and build muscles in a natural way that cannot be achieved through traditional physical therapy.
For others, horseback riding is
a physical and individual accomplishment
that can be
psychologically uplifting. Along with
raising self-esteem, it provides
much-needed social
interaction in a setting that is non-threatening.
Red Cedar also provides riding lessons
for able-bodied riders, both children
and adults.
