First Steps
The United States Federal Government’s Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) provides funds for states to develop and implement a comprehensive, coordinated system of early intervention services for children. In Indiana, the program is known as First Steps Early Intervention Systems. It is administered by Indiana's Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA). AWS’ Infant and Toddler Services is a First Steps provider.
